FECO (full extract cannabis oil) is a whole-plant cannabis concentrate, meaning it extracts not just the THC or CBD but all the terpenes and cannabinoids that the plant has to offer. People often mistake FECO for RSO, as they do have similarities. All of these compounds work together to offer the most medical benefits. This benefit is called the entourage effect. FECO is a dark-colored thick oil typically sold in syringes or capsules. High THC content FECO is commonly used to treat cancer, chemotherapy symptoms, insomnia, and pain. FECO is made using a solvent like grain alcohol to extract. Highly Rooted uses Everclear grain alcohol to extract.

Just like FECO, RSO (Rick Simpson oil) is a whole-plant cannabis concentrate. The difference between FECO and RSO is how the product is extracted. RSO is extracted using 99% isopropyl alcohol or naphtha. Extracting using isopropyl or naphtha isn't as safe for the consumer as grain alcohol, which is why Highly Rooted uses FECO.

Cannabis concentrates are simply concentrated forms of cannabinoids, most commonly THC and CBD. Cannabis flower ranges in potency with an average potency of 10 percent to 25 percent. However, concentrates have an average potency between 45 percent and 95 percent. Cannabis concentrates are a lot like essential oils regarding the extraction process. For example, both lavender oil and cannabis concentrates are made by extracting the oils from the plant to make a concentrated form.
There are numerous forms of cannabis concentrates, the original two, are Kief and Hash. For Example, Kief dates back thousands of years when used in China. The newer forms of concentrates are mainly in the form of oils. Examples are FECO, RSO, tinctures, shatter, hash rosin, live resin, and crumble. Concentrates are consumed in many ways and used for a variety of reasons. FECO, RSO, and tinctures are typically for medicinal benefits and can be consumed orally or applied topically. Shatter, hash rosin, live resin, and crumble are used for recreational and medicinal purposes. Typically these concentrates are vaporized, which is called dabbing and less common methods are orally and topically.

Terpenes are aromatic naturally occurring compounds that give plants and flowers distinct smells. Terpenes give lavender its lovely floral scent, or an orange peel its citrusy smell. This floral scent isn't just to smell good for humans, the terpenes also have a critical role for the plants themselves. For plants like lavender, the terpene smell attracts pollinators to the plant. For plants like garlic and cannabis, the terpenes deter herbivores from eating and destroying the plant. Terpenes benefit plants, but they can also have the potential to help humans.
Along with other medicinal compounds high concentrations of terpenes are found in cannabis. There are over 120 known terpenes that are found in cannabis, but most are only found in extremely low percentages. The main medicinal terpenes are limonene, myrcene, pinene, linalool, eucalyptol, y-terpinene, ß-caryophyllene, caryophyllene oxide, nerolidol, and phytol.

Trying edibles for the first time is exciting. To ensure that you have a good experience we always recommend starting slow and low.
The effects of cannabis edibles may be delayed by two or more hours.
If you have never consumed any form of cannabis or very rarely consume it, we recommend starting at 2.5 milligrams. If after waiting two hours, you don't feel your desired effects, take another 2.5 milligrams. If you still don't feel your desired effects, at another time, start with 5 milligrams and wait two hours, then add another 2.5 milligrams if needed.
If you do consume cannabis regularly, we recommend starting at 5 milligrams and waiting two hours. If after waiting two hours, you have not reached your desired effects, take another 5 milligrams.

Dr. Ethan Russo Explains: "The entourage effect was first described in relationship to endocannabinoids. Researchers observed that inactive chemicals placed with the main characters (meaning components like CBD and THC) markedly boosted the anti-inflammatory effects. The results of subsequent articles said the same thing — that the overall effect was more powerful than the individual components. As a researcher, this appealed to me; it was a concept that I always felt was present in cannabis. Since then I’ve done a lot of work to try to establish some of these relationships"
What this means is all of the cannabinoids work together and enhance the medical benefits. This is why we made our Snoozeberry gummies with more than just THC. They have equal amounts of THC, CBD, and CBN.
